We were hired by the City of Gretna to create a master plan, develop design documents, and provide construction phase services for a new 157-acre park on the southern edge of town. The City envisioned a multi-dimensional park that would meet the needs of Gretna’s growing population—and we were excited to help bring that vision to life.
Gretna Crossing Park offers a harmonious blend of community recreation and open green space, designed to ensure people of all ages and abilities can enjoy everything it has to offer.
At the heart of the park is a state-of-the-art community recreation facility and aquatic center, featuring both an indoor natatorium and an outdoor water park—home to Nebraska’s first drop-gate slide. We also helped deliver new grass ballfields, batting cages, playgrounds, and nature areas complete with walking trails, pollinator gardens, and educational exhibits.
The park also features a scenic three-acre pond surrounded by ADA-accessible fishing piers, boardwalk bridges, and walking trails. Picnic shelters, restrooms, a frisbee golf course, and an off-leash dog park are thoughtfully placed around the pond to maximize accessibility and views. Nearby, an amphitheater stands ready to host a wide range of community events, with an adjacent grassy area perfect for informal play and practices.
Gretna Crossing Park represents a meaningful investment in the community’s future. We’re proud to have played a role in helping the City enhance its cultural and recreational offerings—making Gretna an even more exceptional place to live, connect, and play.
