Edgar Drainage Improvements
JEO Interns assisted the City by designing a comprehensive drainage plan aimed at addressing critical stormwater management issues. The goal of the plan was to ensure that stormwater could efficiently flow out of town, eliminate ponding issues, and allow residents to maintain their current use of the affected areas.
Before the project started, the interns presented their proposal to the City, outlining their objectives and detailing how they intended to execute the project. This presentation included a breakdown of their approach to regrading existing ditches, as well as the replacement and addition of culverts and gutters to enhance the drainage system’s capacity. Their thorough planning and clear communication helped secure the City’s confidence in the plan, ultimately resulting in a design that effectively resolved the stormwater problems while preserving the functionality of the community spaces.
