Melody Henning Elected to IAP2 Midwest Board of Directors

Melody Henning, Community Engagement Specialist, has been elected to serve on the IAP2 Midwest Board of Directors. She will serve as the 2025 board secretary.

The International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) USA is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting and advocating for effective public participation. Its Midwest Chapter, spanning 12 states, is the largest geographic chapter of IAP2 USA.

Melody will bring her expertise from higher education and local government to this role. Her career has been defined by her commitment to serving diverse audiences and advocating for marginalized voices. Melody believes that the IAP2 approach to public participation creates transparency and understanding of complex issues, enabling better outcomes for all stakeholders.

Melody shared: “I am inspired by the IAP2 Core Values, Code of Ethics, and Spectrum of Public Participation and honored to serve on the IAP2 Midwest Board of Directors. I aim to build a meaningful and responsive support network for community engagement professionals on the front lines of addressing wicked problems.”
