March brings new additions to two of JEO’s departments

Jon Bounds joins JEO’s transportation department as a construction inspector with over ten years of experience in the industry. Jon was previously a project superintendent where he managed several high profile underground utility projects from inception to completion. His expertise in managing large projects to guarantee they are completed on time and within budget is beneficial to JEO and our clients. He is also adept to building relationships with clients and managing subcontractors to ensure construction is of high quality, while maintaining safety compliance. Jon graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management, with a minor in Business Administration. He will be working out of JEO’s Lincoln, Nebraska office.

Greg Portwine joins JEO’s electrical department as the new department manager. With Greg’s more than 15 years of experience and his previous position as a system operator for the Nebraska Public Power District, his experience will prove to be beneficial to the electrical department and JEO as a whole. He has the experience of building and maintaining relationships, which will also benefit JEO and our clients. Greg graduated from Southeast Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. He also is North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) certified. He will be working out of JEO’s Wahoo, Nebraska office.

Bethany Strunk joins JEO’s transportation department as a design technician with over 14 years of experience. Bethany has experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, and SDS/2 (a Lincoln based design software). In her previous position, she was an associate technician focusing on bridges and structural design. She developed plan sets for bridges and modified standard bridge settings. Beth is able to perform efficiently at a consistent pace with limited direction. She attended Southeast Community College for Architectural Engineering Technology and for Business with a Marketing emphasis. Beth also attended Doane College for Organized Communication. She will be working out of JEO’s Lincoln, Nebraska office.
