JEO has named Jeff Henson Employee of the Quarter for the second quarter of 2015.
Jeff is a planner in the hazard mitigation and emergency planning department and has been with JEO for two and a half years. Jeff works in JEO’s Lincoln office and leads the department by teaching staff the skills to be successful, actively seeking work, creatively expanding the services offered to our clients, and works harder than anyone else. He also has a sincere desire to help communities across the state reduce the risk of loss of life and property due to hazards.
Jeff was selected as employee of the quarter because he gives his staff the tools to succeed because he genuinely cares about them and wants to see them be successful. This type of leadership, as well as Jeff’s passion for hazard mitigation, has lead JEO to become the premier firm for hazard mitigation in Nebraska.
In addition to Jeff’s commitments at JEO, he donates his time and expertise by teaching a hazard mitigation planning class at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, serving as a selection committee member for Great Places in Nebraska, and volunteering with Lancaster County Emergency Management. Jeff is also an awesome father to one adorable little girl.
JEO’s Employee of the Quarter award started in 2006, and is unique in that coworker nominations are the basis of the award. At the close of each quarter, JEO employees can nominate fellow coworkers who they believe deserve recognition. A selection committee then reviews the nominations and narrows the list of nominees to one name. This quarter, that name was Jeff Henson.
Congratulations Jeff! Thank you for your hard work, passion, and dedication to JEO!
