On Wednesday night, torrential rain and storms passed through southeast Nebraska. Nearly 7 inches of rain fell over the city of Lincoln, while areas in Saline County saw almost 10 inches of rain. As one might expect from such intense rainfall, severe flooding has occurred.
As a company comprised of engineers (some who specialize in water and floodplains!), planners, architects, and surveyors, JEO employees have been exchanging various photos they’ve taken of the flooding. The interactive GIS map below shows some of the photos our employees have shared at the water cooler.
