JEO Offices Continue to Grow

Continuing its growth in 2015, JEO added three full-time staff members in April to the transportation and survey teams.

John Marburger, PE, joined JEO as a project engineer in the transportation department. Marburger has over 12 years of experience in roadway design. Prior to joining JEO, Marburger worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation. He has previously worked on projects that required design of urban and rural freeways, system and service interchanges, at-grade intersections, rural highways, structure replacement, right of way, and groundwater/drainage issues.

Marburger holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Kansas. He is a registered professional engineer in Kansas, and is a certified public manager, having graduated from the University of Kansas Public Management Center. He has also been a member of the National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors (NCEES) and Vice Chair of Civil Transportation PE Exam Development Committee. Marburger will work out of JEO’s South Sioux City office.

Dirk Janssen joined JEO’s survey team as a survey technician. With over 15 years of construction and survey related experience, Janssen possesses a variety of technical skills, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, GPS, total stations, topographical survey, and ALTA survey. His experience also includes construction observation, construction staking, boundary survey, and as-built survey.

Janssen holds an associate’s of science in civil and construction engineering technology from Hawkeye Community College. He will work out of JEO’s Ankeny, IA office.

Heath Howser also joined JEO’s survey team as a survey technician, with over 12 years of survey-related experience. His skills include topographic data collection, construction staking, property corner location, and monument setting.

Howser holds an associate’s of science in civil engineering technology from Iowa Western Community College. He will work out of JEO’s Omaha office.
