JEO has named Travis Hazard Employee of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of 2014.
Travis is a project engineer in the water resources engineering department and has been with JEO for five years. He works in the Lincoln office, and his love-to-see-others-succeed attitude prompted his fellow coworkers to nominate him for employee of the quarter.
Travis was selected as employee of quarter because he is an all-around model co-worker. He is willing to put in extra time to ensure his own projects and responsibilities are addressed, as well as willing to help everyone however he can. He not only has shown a great deal of growth in technical aspects, but he’s also taken on many additional responsibilities of project management and administration. Travis has aided several client development efforts, even outside of his department, for the betterment of JEO as a whole, and has never once thought of himself first. He has also shown a great deal of integrity in dealing with some complicated and difficult situations, in which he ensured the client was receiving the service they deserved and all parties treated fairly.
Travis’s professional memberships include the Lincoln Engineer’s Club, the Association of State Flood Plain Managers, and the Association of State Dam Safety Officials.
Outside of work, Travis enjoys helping his little brother prepare 4-H and FFA show cattle for county and state fair competitions. He is also committed to church and lives each day knowing that God comes first, his wife second, and himself third.
JEO’s Employee of the Quarter award started in 2006, and is unique in that coworker nominations are the basis of the award. At the close of each quarter, JEO employees can nominate fellow coworkers who they believe deserve recognition. A selection committee then reviews the nominations and narrows the list of nominees to one name. This quarter, that name was Travis Hazard
Congratulations Travis! Thank you for your continuous dedication and hard work at JEO!
