In the past few months, JEO’s transportation department had added five new staff members.
Eric Dixon, PE, joined JEO as a senior project manager. Bringing 24 years of experience to JEO, Dixon offers invaluable knowledge about many aspects of transportation. He also has extensive experience with major transportation improvement projects that have involved major streets, highways, and interstates. Dixon holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and is a certified professional engineer in the state of Nebraska.
Nathan Boone, PE, LEED AP, joined JEO as a senior project engineer. With eight years of experience, Boone specializes in transportation engineering, including roadway design, rail design, value engineering, erosion control measures, drainage control, traffic control, and utility coordination. Boone holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M University. As well as being a licensed professional civil engineer in Nebraska, Iowa, and Colorado, Boone is also LEED accredited.
Jay Fallick, PE, joined JEO as a project engineer. Bringing 13 years of experience to JEO, Fallick offers extensive transportation and land development knowledge with considerable experience working directly with the Nebraska Department of Roads and working on federally aided projects. He holds both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in agricultural and biosystems engineering from Iowa State University, and is a registered professional engineer in Nebraska.
Jon Mooberry, PE, joined JEO as senior design engineer. With 11 years of experience, Mooberry brings well-developed skills in project management, design, and construction services. He also brings advanced knowledge in municipal infrastructure design, rural highway design, bridge hydrology and hydraulics, and construction engineering. Mooberry holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, and is a registered professional engineer in Nebraska.
Jenifer Bates, PE, joined JEO as a project manager. Bringing 21 years of experience to JEO, Bates offers an abundance of knowledge about many aspects of transportation and civil engineering. She has substantial experience with roadway design, storm sewer and drainage design, pedestrian trail design, water distribution systems, and utility coordination. Bates holds a bachelor’s degree with distinction in civil engineering from Iowa State University, and is a registered professional engineer in Iowa.
In the past two years, the transportation department at JEO has nearly doubled in size, adding 14 staff members: eight professional engineers, three design engineers, and three senior cad designers. The steady growth of the department has not only brought unique knowledge, skills and experiences to JEO, it has also strengthened the department’s project management and design capabilities.
Despite the steady growth of the transportation department over the past couple of years, the department is not done growing.
