Eric Dixon FormalLINCOLN, NEBRASKA – Eric Dixon, PE, recently joined JEO Consulting Group, Inc. as senior project manager in the transportation department. Bringing 24 years of experience to JEO, Dixon offers invaluable knowledge about many aspects of transportation. He has extensive experience with major transportation improvement projects that have involved major streets, highways, and interstates.

As a senior transportation project manager, Dixon’s main responsibilities include coordinating with clients, staff. and sub-consultants to ensure project objectives are met while staying on schedule.

Since joining JEO in late October 2013, Dixon says he has enjoyed getting to know the people at JEO and that he is starting to recognize the great deal of talent JEO has to offer. “Not only are there some really talented people at JEO, the interdepartmental collaboration on projects has also proven to be a real asset to many of the projects I have worked on,” Dixon said.

Dixon is also looking forward to the upcoming Niobrara Scenic River Road project, a unique project in Cherry County, Neb. that he anticipates will benefit greatly from interdepartmental collaboration. Spanning eleven and a half miles of rugged territory along the Niobrara River, this project will include improving the horizontal and vertical alignments to meet current standards, placing hard surfacing, and improving river access from the road.

Before coming to JEO, Dixon was a vice president, Nebraska design department manager, and management team member at Kirkham Michael. In addition to having owned and operated his own photography business, Dixon also worked for Olsson Associates and the Nebraska Department of Roads (NDOR). While at the NDOR, Dixon was named manager of the quarter in 2000 and manager of the year in 2001.

“Eric has clearly demonstrated his leadership ability in managing several major transportation projects for NDOR, the City of Lincoln, and other clients,” Tom Kellogg, transportation department manager, said about Dixon’s previous experience.

Dixon holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and is a registered professional engineer in Nebraska.
