LINCOLN, NEBRASKA — Dr. Alessandra Jerolleman joined JEO Consulting Group, Inc. as a Senior Emergency Management and Hazard Mitigation Planner. Dr. Jerolleman is the founder and Executive Director of the Natural Hazard Mitigation Association (NHMA). She currently serves as one of the Tri-Chairs for the National Hazard Mitigation Collaborative Alliance, sits on the board of the Greater New Orleans Disaster Recovery Partnership, and also sits on the Executive Committee of the American Society of Public Administration’s Section on Emergency and Crisis Management.
Dr. Jerolleman joins JEO with more than 10 years of experience in many aspects of planning projects, including hazard mitigation planning (HMP) at the local, state, and campus levels; Emergency Management; community education and outreach regarding mitigation measures and preparedness; and delivery of training and education to various stakeholders.
As the Hazard & Emergency Planning Service Director at JEO, Dr. Jerolleman will be managing HMP plans while facilitating and speaking at various national conferences and workshops.
Dr. Jerolleman holds a PhD in Urban Studies from University of New Orleans, a Masters of Public Administration with a Hazard Certification and concentration in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of New Orleans, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish from Tulane University.
